AllBusiness: 11 Tools For Measuring Website Effectiveness
TJ McCue talks about the importance of measuring and evaluating how well your small business website is working and links to tools such as Feedback Army and User Voice.
“Each of these 11 tools or services offers a very affordable way to test your website or even your application. Some give free trials. Some are based on the number of people you want to view it. I don’t include Amazon Mechanical Turk in this list below, but it is a good one if you want to crowdsource your feedback and manage it all yourself. It takes a bit more to manage it, though. Feedback Army is built on Turk and is very affordable, so I’d recommend it. We were doing a similar thing with Sales Rescue Team last year and it’s a beautiful way to get feedback, in near real time, from a few to hundreds.
We’ve done a number of projects at Mechanical Turk directly and love it. But we decided long ago to use Smartsheet, an online project management tool, to manage Turk because they have a sweet spreadsheet interface that makes it familiar and easy to use. Sometimes Turk use requires lots of iterations and Smartsheet helps us keep up. They are sponsoring one of our projects.”
