Smallbiztechnology.com: Wireless 4G: Faster ‘Net Access Wherever You Are (Hint: More Productivity)
Broadband 3G mobile data services were okay for Internet access, this blogger argues, but new 4G networks from Sprint, Clearwire and, eventually, others make mobile computing really sing.
“I’ve been using wireless broadband from Verizon Wireless for many years. No matter where I am, I can get Internet access, such as taking a train from Boston to Washington or all over San Francisco. However it’s still a bit slow and not as fast as a DSL or Cable connection.
In the constant leap frog game of speed, Sprint has upped the stakes and now offers 4G (fourth generation) speeds to its customers – (average downlink speeds of 600Kbps – 1.4 Mbps).”
