ZDNet: Latest Adroid Smartphone From T-Mobile – HTC myTouch 3G Slide
Besides the slide-out keyboard, the other main differences between this and the earlier myTouch 3G are some minor software features. myTouch 3G Slide is available in June. No pricing yet, but it will probably sell in the $150 to $250 range.
“T-Mobile was the first US carrier to launch a Google Android device with the T-Mobile G1 back in 2008 and has since added several Android devices to their lineup. Their latest device takes the popular myTouch 3G device and adds in a slide-out QWERTY keyboard to target the text heavy T-Mobile customer looking for a more modern alternative to the T-Mobile Sidekick device. The T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide will be available in black, white, or red.
Ever since the G1 I have been asking for another QWERTY keyboard HTC Google Android device and this is the first one to combine HTC Sense, Android 2.1, and a physical QWERTY so I cannot wait to try one out and see if it actually has a chance to bump the Nexus One from my hands, even though the N1 has higher specifications.”
